Journal club article? I don't need to read no stinkin' journal club article.

I do need to get up at 6:30 for journal club, though. Guh. I fell asleep during Frankenstein, but now I'm too damn alert to sleep. La la la. Not at all productive, but I can't sleep.

[livejournal.com profile] omaha gave me some fantastic news today: not only is my camera probably fixable, they'll fix it for free. That sounds like it's probably what's wrong with mine. Man. That makes me so happy. I really liked that little monster.

In other news, that Audi I'm looking at got hit by a moose. That's why they're only asking $1500 for it. It seems to have been in beautiful condition before the moose, and is now just hella dented. Well, if the mechanics are good, I can drive a dented car. Especially if it's dented by a moose. That's way cooler than butt-dents on the hood of your 1966 maroon Ford Galaxie 500. Well, a little cooler, anyway.

Only downside is, car is in VT. Plus side to that, though, is that VT is hella lovely this time of year. So I'm going to go look at it maybe on Sunday sometime.

Speaking of Sunday, Crystal and Carolyn were drinking tea and talking about when they were going somewhere on Sunday when I joined them.

"Where're y'all goin' on Sunday? What's up?" I enquire, which prompts a funny look and an answer, in unison.

"Uh... Your birthday."

Heh. Oh, yeah.

Well, the minions didn't eat me, and all is well for another couple weeks, at least. Anyone who wishes may guess the movie reference in the moose paragraph, except for Mya, who has an unfair advantage. I'm going to go read, because I'm a little more likely to nod off doing that than using the computer. Maybe I should just go put in another old movie that I want to see, and then I'll fall asleep...

I've been looking at cars online. I realise that hotspur is a good car, but if the transmission doesn't start behaving, I... well, I'm preparing for the worst. Mya can keep ignoring everything that she doesn't want to deal with, and I'll build my little fallout bunker under the stairs and she can just sit outside it and pout when the apocalypse comes. So there.

There's a nice little 1993 Audi 100s on craigslist that'd drop our insurance by nearly $100. Dunno how Mya feels about learning to drive a standard transmission, though. On the one hand, all the hot spy girls know how to drive a standard. On the other hand, they never show the hot spy girls attempting to learn how to drive the standard in all those hot spy girl movies.

Thursday is my mom's birthday. It is also my first girl scout meeting. I am nervous.

Speaking of, I should get to sleep. I'm still awake, though. Dammit.
