Here is the League of Pissed-Off Voters' Election Guide. It has some good insights, although I disagree with their conclusions on some of the referenda. Good info for things like judicial races, though. I was having a horrible time deciding between Ranum and Piper, so now I'm just going to write in Piper for seat 58. It can't hurt, and I don't want to vote for either of the people running for that seat anyway.

I saw "Burn After Reading" with my folks last night. It was amusing, but I'm really excited about the fact that the movie the Coens are currently filming is mostly full of unknowns. I like my films a little more farcical, please, and Brad Pitt just isn't conducive enough to that.

the hedge abides.

You gotta admit... Brad Pitt was still a lot of fun in that role.

Really, it was an excellent movie. But I will absolutely admit to holding the Coens to a higher standard than everyone else. It wasn't consistently strange enough for my preference. Kind of like Intolerable Cruelty. Impeccably acted and shot, and really pretty twisted when you look at it objectively, but I miss all the goofball moments.

Fair enough. I also don't think it's one of their stronger efforts... which still means it's better than 90% of all movies out there.

Precisely.

Sorry, I don't happen to know my account number because unfortunately I don't sit around all day trying to memorize the fucking numbers! Moron!

I really liked seeing the familiar faces for this film but I'm with you on the next one. Movies with unknown actors seem to keep my attention significantly more than someone I recognize.

I can't wait for A Serious Man. I watched for a while when they were filming at the Key's by my house.

I'm trying to decide between offensive knitting tonight and a Q&A with some of the crew of A Serious Man. Hmm.

That shouldn't be something you're mulling over. Q&A, hands down.

I don't know how technical it is going to be. It's for the theatre department here. And it means not getting supper until it's over and I'm home. It's not really that easy of a decision.

I naturally dislike Brad Pitt... It might be the whole thing about him being the BIG NEWS on E! Network with the "Branjolina" crap, etc. But I have to say, when he gets good roles, he plays them well. Sure he's a pretty boy and easy to dismiss as an actor who gets by on that sort of thing but, hey, he can do right.

I haven't seen this movie so I have no idea if he gives credit to the role or not but yeah... just thought I'd voice an ignorant opinion.
