Does anyone want to go up to Crafty Planet (or some other store-what-sells-yarn) this weekend? I mention Crafty Planet only because I have never been there, and have heard good things, but I am open to suggestions. I need more babyllamas for my afghan. And nothing else. Do you hear that, hedge? NOTHING ELSE.

Today is going to be a really long day, but there's nobody else here (not even my PI), and I'm really lonely. Maybe I will see evidence of the existance of other people if I go get coffee in Coffman. But then, it's spring break at the U-- people are pretty sparse.

I want a new bike. I am jealous of [livejournal.com profile] paddle2paddle. I don't really know what I want, though, just something more stable and more efficient than the old Ross 3-speed I got in RI last year.

the hedge abides.

I could possibly be persuaded, if only because I've also been itching for an excuse to go to crafty planet.

Grrr... The internets do not like me right now. I have tried to post a comment twice now and both times the fates have conspired against me.

Anyway. What building do you work at on campus, the cellular and molecular biology building? I think I'm going to be on campus around 2pm or so (and possibly for a while) to make a library run. Want to get some coffee to help enable my ADD symptoms to shine through the day?

The Hub bike co-op on Minnehaha Avenue just south of Lake Street is a good shop with a knowledgeable staff and a decent selection of used bikes. As Dick Enrico would say, why buy new when slightly used will do? What would you want to do with a bike? Commute, ride recreationally around town, touring, club/road riding?

My experiment didn't work. I am washing dishes, then going home in a huff. For future reference, though, I work in Jackson, which is attached to MCB on the other side from Moos.

I'm looking for a commute/ride around town bike. I'm not hardcore enough for the long haul yet. My cousin's boyfriend works at the bike shop across from Home Video on Snelling in St. Paul. He's a big bike geek and can probably help me figure out what the heck I'm looking for, at least, and how much money to save up. I'm so clueless that I'd much rather talk to him about it than somebody who is going to try to *sell* me a bike. Does that make sense?
