Truck-packing is definitely on Tuesday evening. We'll probably be okay, though. Saturday I'll be in New Hampshire (again, eeek!) but I will call and we can at least chat.

here's the (terse but typing-light) explanation on y'all:

1. Y'all is sometimes singular, but more people are implied. For instance, if you look at one person and say, 'how y'all doin?' it means you are asking after that person, and that person's mother, and that person's best friend, and that person's dog, or whatever.
1a. Y'all singular, without this implication = kinda white trash. but still acceptable.
2. All y'all is completely redundant and correct. You would refer to a group of people actually present as "all y'all" as in "Where're all y'all going?" or "All y'all hungry? Let's get lunch." This can occasionally be used for family not present, as in "I have to go to Jenny's wedding. What about you and the kids? Are all y'all going?" All y'all generally gets used for groups larger than four.
